Experimental Investigation on the Effects of the Geometry of the Pilot Burner on Main Flame

Various kinds of pilot burners were experimentally investigated to examine the effects their geometry and location relative main burner a real size combustor. In addition, wide range fuel equivalence ratios analyze feasibility novel for conventional application. From results, it is shown that with multi air holes had thin, straight, long stable flame, while thick, lifted, short unstable flame. It also an upper flow hole straight flame which led less thermal damage This study suggests not only shape but vertical from combustor has significant effect on durability.
